Ok im 18 next month and ive been playing poker for a long time….. the site says 18 to gamble but it also stated according to ure juristiction ….. i live in monmouth county new jersey… can sombody please tell me what the legal online gambling age for new jersey is to play on full tilt?… thankyou

I need to know the details of playing poker, please help!

I know that gambling is a sin but if you win more than lose and take a lot of the luck out of poker, is playing poker still gambling? Is it possible to catogorize playing poker as investing rather than gambling? This is because gambling is a sin but investing is not.
For those of you who say that there is always an element of chance involved that is why it is considered gambling, there is also chance involved in investing it is not a sure thing. Why can’t we categorize poker as investing?

There is at least one show late at night that has people playing Poker. I have it on for noise while I do other things. But I don’t know why anyone would actually WATCH the show after maybe the first time.
So. What is the appeal of the Poker shows?

I have recently started playing poker on Full Tilt. My friend and I like to play heads up. All of the heads up tables under the ‘play money’ tab are too expensive. Is there something I’m not seeing? Is there another poker site that has what I need?

I don’t understand, I’m 17 and I want to download Poker Stars to learn to play free poker, but it says you have to be 21 to play poker on their site. To gamble, you have to be 21, but is it actually gambling if there is no money involved? Should I just download it anyway? I don’t want to get in any trouble by playing poker there when im not 21 (even though it’s not for money)

I’m real big on Texas Hold’Em, and I want to play for real money. Playing for fake money just got boring because people were just going all in because it wasn’t real money. I want a more "real" feeling while playing poker.

They say that playing poker is gambling. That there is too much chance in it.
Well, why in the heck do they allow horse betting? Seems you have 0% chance to affect the outcome. Seems 100% chance.
At least Poker does have some skill, otherwise how can someone win tournaments more than 1 time.
I am confused by why they allow one and not the other?
