Like just picking a team to win, without the spread taking affect? I know you can do that in most of the other sports (baseball, hockey…)
By the way, does anyone think the Seattle mariners will get between 2 runs of the angels tonight?
oh, in baseball, what does the -125 mean in US terms. In the UK, it’s just minus or plus 1.5 runs.
I’ve gotten kind of addicted to Centsports, and I’m trying to figure out the most mathematically advantageous system. I usually bet on baseball, as that’s the sport I know the most about. I don’t bet on point spreads, only straight money lines. My question is whether it’s better to bet on multiple teams that you think are likely to win, and thus spread the risk out. The alternative is to pick one game you think is a sure thing, and put your entire bankroll on that one bet. Suppose you have .00 to gamble with. Would you bet 1.00 on 5 different games, or 5.00 on one game? If you pick 5 games you’re more likely to lose at least one of them, and thus your payoff is lower. So is your risk. The one big bet pays off more (probably), but if you lose you’re busted. Can anybody give me a serious rationale for one system over the other?
And please, don’t just badmouth Centsports in your answer. I’m not asking you to sign up, I just want to hear your thoughts on various systems.
we all know the man had some gambling issues in the past….what if he bet on basketball like Pete Rose did with baseball
would you forgive him? would you let that slide?
How should I bet it, do you have to pick a team to get the pay right or can you just pick O or U. I would really like to get into Baseball, I’m getting tired of Basketball.
i know how football spreads work but how do moneyline’s work in other sports like baseball & the over/unders
i’d be glad to see an example
Particularly football and baseball. I’m curious as to how spreads are determined and how to read them.
I had the darn Brewers tonight and lost again. I need some advice that knows something about baseball. I am a fan, but I can't pick it to save my life.
