Is it legal to play poker online for money in the state of ohio?
I was on a poker website and learned that it is illegal to play for money or to cash out money in some states from an online poker community, and it made me wonder if it is also illegal in ohio?

Practically you can play from every USA city, the law is a little bit flexible. Its legal, noone will ever ask you about that, but the USA politics doesnt like gambling so they made it hard to deposit funds into those sites. The banks decline transactions. However there are still deposit methods like Echeck and visa gift cards. For more visit http://www.bettingwise.com/usagamblingsites.html
Actually, with the recent beginning of enforcement of the Unlawful Internet Gaming Enforcement Act (UIGEA), it’s illegal to gamble online for money in any state in the US. Not on your part, mind you, you can do with your money as you please, but it’s now illegal for your bank to send or receive money from known gaming websites and firms with ties to gaming (ie NetTeller).
So if you win the Sunday Million tournament on PokerStars, for example, you may not be able to get your funds from it because your bank won’t accept the check.
