To play Texas Holdem -
Each player is dealt two cards (hole cards) which belong only to that player.
Five community cards are dealt face-up on the board. All players may use these cards in conjunction with their own hole cards to make the best 5 card hand possible. (refer to link above)
In Holdem, a disc also known as the button, serves to indicate which player is the nominal dealer for the current game. Before the game begins, the player immediately clockwise from the button posts the small blind, typically half a small bet (for example, $1 in a $2/$4 game). The player immediately clockwise to the small blind posts the big blind, which is always a full small bet (for example, $2 in a $2/$4 game). Now, each player receives his or her two hole cards. Betting action proceeds around the table, starting with the player immediately clockwise to the big blind.
Players may now fold, check, call the big blind, or raise.
In Limit games, the raise is limited to one small bet. In Pot Limit the maximum raise is the pot (the amount currently in the pot, plus his call), whereas in No Limit the maximum raise can be any amount of chips.
THE FLOP
Now, the flop is dealt face-up on the board. The flop is the first three community cards available to all active players. Betting begins with the active player immediately clockwise the button. Again, in Limit games, all bets and raises at this point occur in small bets (increments of $2 in a $2/$4 game).
THE TURN
When betting action is completed for the flop round, the turn is dealt face-up on the board. The turn is the fourth community card in a Holdem game. Betting begins with the active player immediately clockwise the button. On this round in Limit games, betting doubles from the small bet to the big bet. In a $2/$4 game, betting on the turn is done in $4 increments.
THE RIVER
When betting action is completed for the turn round, the river is dealt face-up on the board. The river is the fifth and final community card in a Holdem game. Betting begins with the active player immediately clockwise from the button.
If there is more than one remaining player when the final betting round is complete, the last bettor or raiser shows his or her cards. If there was no bet on the final round, the player immediately clockwise the button shows his or her cards first. The player with the best five-card hand wins the pot. In the event of identical hands, the pot will be equally divided between the players with the best hands.

look it up. its way to complicated to explain. people play for years to learn how to play
Worst to best hands: nothing (high card), pair (two of the same card), two pair (two pairs), three of a kind (three of the same card), straight (5 consecutive cards), flush (5 cards of the same suit), full house (3 of one type of card, 2 of another, eg 44488), four of a kind (4 of one type of card), straight flush (consecutive cards of the same suit).
In Texas hold em, everyone gets dealt two cards. Then, there’s a round of betting. After that comes the "flop". This is 3 community cards that everyone uses to make their hand. Another round of betting. Then comes the "turn" which is a single 4th community card. Another round of betting. Then the 5th community card, the "river". A final round of betting, and if someone gets called then you both show your cards.
When it’s your turn, you can either fold (get rid of your hand) call (bet the same amount as the other person) or raise (bet more than the other person). You can also check if you’re in the big blind preflop or if no one bets on the flop/turn/river.
Every hand, there is a big blind and small blind. The dealer button goes around the table, and that person acts last after the flop. Before you receive your cards, the person who is sitting two seats to the left of the button bets the big blind, and the person who was the big blind in the last hand bets the small blind. The purpose of the blinds is to get a small amount of money in the pot.
In general, okay hands would be an ace and another card. Hands like KQ and KJ can be played, and hands like AJ, AQ, AK should usually be played. AA is the best starting hand you can get. You should also call with a pocket pair (eg 5 5) if the amount to call is about 10% of your stack, to try and make a set (three of a kind). However, you should fold if there’s one or two over cards (higher cards than your pair) on the flop and people start betting., if you don’t have a set.
The aim of the game is simple: get the best hand. Higher versions of each type of hand are better, so a straight 6 to 10 beats a straight 2 to 6.
Hope this helps, I haven’t checked it so sorry if it makes no sense.
I forgot to mention, you can’t have straights from say king to four, they can’t go past the ace.

You’re biting off more than you can chew with this question. To give you an example, I’ve written hundreds of thousands of words in articles just describing the basics that you asked about.
But since you asked, I’ll give you the best answer I can:
The aim of the game:
The goal in poker is to win as many chips, one pot at a time, from your opponents. Chips are the only way score is kept in poker. In tournament poker, each player starts with the same amount of chips, and the players play until one player has won them all.
In cash game poker, each chip represents actual money, and players are free tom come and go as they please.
