I used to play poker 35 years ago, all in home games and always did well, and I’m thinking of learning holdem. How good does one have to be to win these days. In the old days really all I had to do was play tight and sometimes from reading other players I would drag in some extra money, but for the most part, just playing tight earned the gravy. I’ve never played online, but that is where I would want to play.

I know you can focus better on one table if you don’t do it, but it’s just so boring and you can’t clear bonuses nearly as fast. What should I do?

Assuming a mechanically sound dealer, typical players, and a full table of ten players - how many hands would be dealt per hour in a live game?

I’m guessing that it would be about 40 hands at a live game, whereas online could be closer to 60+, but I’m not sure.
